pierrot clown

I have loved Pierrot clowns since I was a little girl.  My older sister had some wallpaper in her bedroom when she was little in early 1980s, and I keep searching eBay and vintage shops for a roll for myself, but so far no luck!  I found this little trinket box for 50 pence at a car boot sale, the same one where my Dad found the 1960s dolls house.  One day, it shall sit on my vintage dressing table (which I am yet to actually own!)

    I’ve never really been into clowns, but this sure is a pretty trinket. I have an imaginary dressing table all dreamed up too.

    p.s My duvet cover is only a single but it’s double sided, so I’m hoping there will be plenty of fabric. I’ve been having doubts lately though, so was thinking maybe starting small with a few simple projects to get me back into using my sewing machine. Thank-you for the advice xxx

    I have a little collection of Pierrot things! I have a plate, a heart shaped ceramic box, some prints, and a big porcelain bust. I am scared of clowns usually, but this one is an exception.

    Ahhh I have the wallpaper in my room! It's been my pride and joy for 6 years! I was lucky enough to have been given 5 rolls by someone. Although because of damp issues in my room, it might get taken down :( I do have a spare roll but am holding onto it for dear life I'm afraid, in case I move or have to re decorate because of the crappy damp. I love it so much, I have actually copied one of the pierrot figures from my wallpaper and have it as a tattoo! :)
