new things

Hello there!

It feels like a very long time since I have posted anything!  Last weekend, I was celebrating my 25th birthday (awaiting snaps and will soon be posting some photographs of some of the wonderful gifts that I was lucky enough to have received!)

But until then, I wanted to share with you some of my new makes!  And also reveal my plans to scrap the Kakes Makes name, and convert to What Katie Found.  Firstly, I prefer the name, and also, it would mean that my crafts and my blog would be linked much better.  However, this process will be a slow transition.  My Folksy shop remains the same, although in the next few months, I may migrate to Etsy...
The first step of the name change, was to get some new business cards!  Here there are, along with some of the paper bags I finally got round to purchasing - with my dodgy hand drawn logo adorning one side!!

top to bottom
wooden Scrabble tile rings and necklaces, vintage fabric hair bows and vintage fabric phone cases.

So there are a few of the new items that I have been busy making!  Every night this week, I have got home from work and have sat down to sew, glue, drill, cut, draw, design, label or badge make.  Phew!!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the reason for this mad making rush, is because I will be holding a stall at a vintage fair tomorrow.  It is at Leicester cathedral from 12 - 5pm.  Fingers crossed for a beautiful sunny day and lots of customers :)

Hope that you all have a lovely weekend, and see the first signs of Spring!
